The NC Society of Government Meeting Professionals is again hosting its online silent auction. The bidding has begun now through December 8 at 5 p.m. There are hotel stays for Great Wolf Lodge, Charleston, Durham, and Fayetteville as well as art, jewelry, and gift baskets!

All the money raised goes towards scholarships for NCSGMP members to attend the annual NC Education Conference (to be held May 2018 in Fayetteville, NC) and the National Education Conference (to be held June 2018 in Norfolk, VA). These event promote education, networking, and resources. SGMP is the largest association of government meeting professionals in the nation with more than 1,800 members across the country. As an employee of a state agency that has many meetings to plan, this association has helped me over the years keep my skills up to date and make connections when planning government meetings and events for state officials, and our continuing education programs.
