Event Review

WE ARE SPARTANS!

Jerry, his friend Chris, and I all ran the Spartan Sprint last Saturday at the Smith Lake Recreation Area near Fort Bragg, Fayetteville. It was a tough 5.5 miles, but we triumphed! So now everyone's favorite part, my review of the race.

Why Your Feedback Matters to Hotels

Something that came up at last week's NC SGMP Conference was regarding feedback and reviews.  One of our hoteliers talked about the importance of the event survey that you receive after your event.  This information is taken very seriously by hotels, and as it turns out, it can make an employees day.

Racing Recap: Take Two

Last weekend, Jerry and I enjoyed our first weekend off in awhile.  However, prior to that we did two mud runs in back to back weekends.  First was The Ninja Challenge in Fuquay-Varina and the second was the Rugged Maniac in Rockingham. We raced in both of these races in previous years, and we had one same old, same old, and the other with many successes.

Turning Blunders to Successes - Spartan Sprint 2015

While you are in the middle of an event your senses are heightened, you feel the rush of the last minute details, and hope that all your planning has paid off.  The event goes off and your deem it either as a success or failure.  Then, you take a breath.  Often, you move on to the next big event without thinking anymore about the one you just finished.  However, I urge everyone to really think about taking the time after an event to review it.
